Joshua 5:1
As soon as all the kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan for the people of Israel until they had crossed over, their hearts melted and there was no longer any spirit in them because of the people of Israel.
They feared the people of the Lord and they’d never met or seen them.
Isaiah 26:7-8
7 The path of the righteous is level;
you make level the way of the righteous.
8 In the path of your judgments,
O LORD, we wait for you;
your name and remembrance
are the desire of our soul.
That day when Joshua and the nation of Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground, the name of the Lord and His renown and remembrance went before them. May it be the same with us today.
What a woefully inadequate treatment of that title. =-D

Do you ever pray, “Lord, be powerful today!”?
Do you ever pray, “Lord, be merciful today!”?
Do you ever pray, “Lord, be just today!”?
Do you ever pray, “Lord, be beautiful today!”?
Do you ever pray, “Lord, be graceful today!”?
Most of you will answer: “No, these are attirbutes of God, why would we ask Him to be something that He’s told us He is?”
Joshua 1:9 (ESV) says:
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
the second half of Matthew 28:20 (ESV) says:
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Why do we ever pray “Lord, be with me today.”? He’s already told us that he is with us always and wherever we go.

I am testing a new Firefox plugin that is a blogging client. It means that I don’t have to navigate to this blog’s web page to post to the blog. Pretty sweet. Anyway, this is a picture that I did a drag and drop on:

Cute, huh? =-D
