Read the Proverbial Habit

I was challenged by a book I was reading to then go read Proverbs. Someday I’ll remember which book it was that challenged me so. It was either CJ Mahaney’s “Humility”, Donald Miller’s “To Own a Dragon”, OR Donald Miller’s, “Searching for God Knows What”. Who confuses Donald Miller with CJ Mahaney anyway? What kind of a freak am I? That’s what I get for tackling two of those in one day. I was in a plane for ~6 hours and in airports for ~4 hours, what else am I going to do?
Back on topic…the book of Proverbs has 31 chapters in it. Not one of those chapters is more than a sentence or two beyond a single page in legth. Our longest month has 31 days in it. Stay with me here and see if you can catch the correlation. If you read the date in Proverbs…oh…for instance today is the 23rd, so I read Proverbs 23.
So here’s the plan:
- Open the book of Proverbs.
- Read the date.
- Repeat once each day until dead.
Peese.
